We are thrilled to provide some exciting details about our upcoming play-to-earn mobile game — MedaWars! This game will add an immersive video game experience to our metaverse and add extra utility to our NFT cards. However, before we go into that, we wanted to take a deep dive into the play-to-earn movement and how MedaWars will fit into this revolution.

The Rise of Play-To-Earn

Is it possible to earn an income from gaming? The rising popularity of digital gaming in the past decade has made this a reality. Competitive gaming or E-sports has become part of mainstream culture, with annual revenues projected to exceed $1bn this year.

As this industry crosses into the crypto world, we are seeing a rise in the popularity of play-to-earn (P2E) digital games. P2E games are blockchain-based digital games that allow users to earn crypto through gaming. P2E gaming has become one of the fastest-growing niches in the blockchain world.

NFTs Fuel the Play-To-Earn Movement

In contrast to traditional games, P2E gaming adds another dimension to gaming by allowing players to have complete ownership of their in-game assets. These assets can be bought, sold, or traded within the game and in the open market. In-game assets are monetized through non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, which play an important role in playing and earning.

Since these assets have a tangible value, they offer a way for gamers to earn income through ownership and empower gamers to increase the value of those assets through active gameplay. NFTs employ different classes of rarity, which guarantees that there will be a limited supply of certain rare, and thus valuable NFTs. These digital assets can be transferred to crypto wallets and converted to crypto or fiat currencies, where they can be used for real-world transactions.

Some popular P2E games include Axie Infinity, CryptoBlades Kingdom, Epic Hero, and many others. These games have enjoyed tremendous success, with Axie Infinity reaching a market cap of 7.4 billion and has given players a unique way to earn income while playing an online game.

Mobile Gaming Meteoric Rise

With the rise of P2E games and the increase in popularity of mobile gaming, Cryptomeda aims to capitalize on both of these movements with the launch of MedaWars. MedaWars is a turn-based, adventure, sci-fi game that is IOS and Android-based. MedaWars is just one more step to create an all-encompassing Crypto Medaverse. On just one platform, Cryptomeda users will access a complete ecosystem that will include NFT games, community, marketplace, staking, and NFT collectibles. Cards collected through staking, quests, or purchases in the marketplace can be used in the MedaWars game.

MedaWars Gameplay Overview

Upon downloading the game, you will enter the world of Cryptomeda, where there is an ongoing battle between two factions, Goliath and Renegade. You can choose your faction based on your preferences. Once your faction is chosen, you will begin to explore the world map, where you will see territories split between the two factions. You can choose to engage in battle on enemy lines or defend your own front.

There will be an option to engage in multiple missions per day — the more difficult the mission, the greater the underlying risks, but also the greater the rewards. However, you can also choose to play it safe and just complete your daily cap. The choice is completely yours to make.

Having chosen your mission, you will now enter the battlefield to face your enemies. Your character will be unique from others because it is equipped with two weapons, each with its own unique initiative and abilities. You will only be able to use limited abilities per turn, so you must choose wisely to counter the enemy attack. Once your enemies are defeated, you can collect your rewards in the form of currency called MedaGas which can then be exchanged for TECH tokens, weapons, gems, or you may loot powerful NFT cards which can be used or traded on the Market.
